Yesterday at around 7:30 in the morning, on the Lingao road section of Hainan Island Expressway, two trucks rear-ended, causing the driver of the rear truck trapped. After receiving the alarm, Lingao fire brigade rushed to the scene to carry out the rescue work. With the effort of all firefighters, 10minutes later, the trapped driver was successfully rescued.

The traffic police department has already guarded the scene when firefighters arrived at the scene at 7:53. According to the spot investigation, two trucks rear-ended, resulting in a serious deformation of the front part of the rear truck. For the driver's right leg was stuck, he was trapped in the cab, could not move. Fortunately the driver was conscious and not serious injured. At the same time, there was no oil spill in the tank. “My truck is loaded with feed, the rear truck seems to be a logistics truck. Only one driver in that truck which rear-ended my truck without warning,”the driver of the front truck said.

After spot investigation, the commander ordered that two rescue teams should be set up, one should, cooperating with the traffic police, guard the scene with police cars and warning cone, the other should, using two hydraulic demolition tools, carry out the work of break, support and expansion to the front part and cab of the truck.

With the effort of the firefighters, the trapped driver was successfully rescued and transferred to the 120 health care workers and the traffic police department on the scene. After confirming that there was no other trapped, the firefighters left the scene, taking away their equipment.

For trucks, transport vehicles and other commercial vehicles, rear-end collision is a major cause of vehicle accidents. Because of their inertia, these vehicles are required to maintain a certain safe distance with other vehicles. Therefore, it is recommended that managers of commercial fleets choose automotive active safety products, such as vehicle forward collision early warning system AWS650 and fatigue driving early warning system MR688, to be installed in the vehicles. Let intelligent technology help to ensure driving safety. Make each driver drives back home safely. More information about fleet safety management system products, please contact us.
